The Porch: The Symbol of the South

(A Journey: From Beginning to the End (Elders))

The porch series captures some of the essence of southern life that encapsulates family, legacy, and community. As I focused on photographing my grandmother and the life she built around her, I was nothing short of enlightened and vulnerable to the process that allowed me to capture the overall view of what it took to create the impact on the lives of those around me and the impact of those that created who I am today.
